SMTP - Info

1 - Server address

Add your server adress

For example, if you're using
Gmail, enter "smtp.gmail.com",
Outlook, enter "smtp-mail.outlook.com".

If you're unsure of your Email provider's server address, you can search online using the company name followed by "SMTP settings," such as "Outlook SMTP settings."

What is server adress?

A server address is like the "home address" for your Email provider's server. It tells your Email app where to send and receive your Emails. For example, Gmail’s server address for outgoing Emails is smtp.gmail.com, and for Outlook, it’s smtp-mail.outlook.com

In short, it’s the specific location your Email app connects to so you can send and receive messages.

2 - Server port

Add the server port 587

The server port is almost always the same for every Email provider.
But it’s best to check your email provider’s recommended settings to confirm the correct port and encryption method.

What is server port?

Port 587 is used to send outgoing emails securely. It’s the standard port for sending emails with SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), and it supports TLS encryption, which keeps your email data safe as it travels from your device to the email server.

3 - Server username

Add your whole Email address (like [email protected])

A server username is the login name you use to access your Email on the server. It’s often just your Email address (like [email protected]).
When you set up your Email, the server username tells the Email server which account to connect to.

What is Server username?

In short, it’s your email login info that lets the server know which inbox is yours.

4 - Server password

Add the password of your email account.

A server password is the password for your email account. It’s what you enter along with your server username to log in securely.
This password lets the server verify it’s really you and gives you access to your emails.

What is Server username?

In short, it’s the key that unlocks your email account on the server.

PLEASE NOTE

If you are connecting a Gmail account you will need to create an "App password" to use as Server password.

Follow THIS guide to create one!

5 - Sender Email

Add your whole Email address (like [email protected])

A sender Email is the ID for your email account that tells the server who you are. It’s usually your email address (like [email protected]).

What is Sender Email?

In short, it’s your account name that identifies you to the email server.
