How to create a course and add chapters

This guide walks you through the process of creating a new course and adding chapters to it. Follow these steps to build your course efficiently.

Creating a New Course

To create a new course:

  1. Navigate to the Course function

    • Log in to your platform account.

    • Go to the Dashboard.

    • Select the Courses tab from the menu.

  2. Click the “Create Course” Button

    • Locate and click the New Course button. This will open a form to input course details.

  3. Fill Out Course Details

    • Course Title: Enter the name of your course.

    • Description: Provide a brief summary of what the course covers.

  4. Save the Course

    • Once all the fields are filled, click Save to finalize the course.


Adding Chapters to a Course

After creating a course, follow these steps to add chapters:

  1. Access the Chapters Section

    • Within the course, locate the Chapters tab or section.

    • Click on Add Chapter to start creating a chapter.

  2. Create a Chapter

    • Chapter Title: Enter a name for the chapter.

    • Create from template or scratch: Choose whether to start from a predefined template or build the chapter from scratch.

  3. Upload Files or Resources

    • Attach any relevant files, such as PDFs, slides, or additional reading materials.

  4. Save the Chapter

    • Click Save to finalize the chapter.

    • Repeat the process for additional chapters.


Organizing and Editing Chapters

  • Reorder Chapters: Click the ∧ - ∨ for chapters to rearrange their order.

  • Edit Chapter: Click the edit icon next to a chapter to modify its content.

  • Delete Chapter: Use the delete option to remove a chapter.


By following these steps, you can easily create a course and structure it with chapters that provide clear, engaging content for your learners.
